Adventure knows no boundaries in Caraga Region XIII, the newest of the country's geopolitical subdivisions. Comprised of the two cities and four provinces in the northeastern portion of Mindanao, Caraga is adventure epitomized.
This northeastern region holds the Philippines' largest gold deposits, but Caraga's agricultural, marine, and human resources are more precious than gold.
Caraga have a potential for big plantations [for the business-minded] and internationally known tourist facilities [for vacationers]," said Epimaco Galero Jr., vice chairman of the Caraga Regional Development Council and area head of the Growth with Equity in Mindanao Program.
